about

The Ends are proud to present their latest riff-based monster ‘Coke Can’. This new single is coupled with ‘Karma Chameleon’ (a loutish Essex take on the classic, far from the harmonica and make-up of the original).

This is their second single release of this year, the first being Hellraiser (April 2012).

It was recorded in the same DIY ethic that sees the band work from rehearsal spaces and bedrooms; keeping every process of recording and mixing strictly in-house.

‘Coke Can’ is in keeping with The Ends style and sound, something they are very keen to preserve, yet this single involves added instrumentation, including an organ, tambourine and other percussion, something avoided previously.

The b-side, a light-hearted cover of Karma Chameleon, has been a staple of their live performances since the band begun in 2009. Originally written by Culture Club, from 1983 album Colour by Numbers. We are no wiser as to what a karma chameleon actually is.

Artwork once again courtesy of Mick Denny.
